XBRL US has arranged for a block of rooms at a rate of $326.00 single/$355.00 double. The Marriott requires a one-night credit card deposit upon making reservations. Hotel cancellation policy is 72 hours prior to arrival date to ensure a full refund. XBRL and the Marriott are unable to guarantee room rate if reservation is made after the cut off date of Friday, October 23rd. Getting to New York City

The city is served by three major international airports:

LaGuardia (LGA) | John F. Kennedy (JFK) | Newark Liberty (EWR)

All three airports provide access to the city via taxis, buses, subways and trains.  Getting to the Venue

Driving/Taxi Directions to the Marriott Marquis in Times Square 

Please Note: there is no shuttle bus to the Marriott Marquis 

LGA to the Marriott

  • Taxi – estimated $40-50 one-way fare
     
  • Driving – 9 miles
    Follow the Grand Central Parkway towards Manhattan/Triborough Bridge. After paying the toll stay on the left and follow signs to the F.D.R. Drive South. Exit onto 42nd Street/United Nations. Follow 42nd Street to 8th Avenue. Turn Right and go to 46th Street. Turn Right and the hotel will be on the right at the end of that block.

JFK to the Marriott

  • Taxi – estimated  $40-50 one-way fare

  • Driving – 15 miles
    Driving Directions: Take Van Wyck Expressway to Grand Central Pkwy. to L.I.E. (Midtown Tunnel) straight up 42nd St. to 8th Ave. Turn right on 46th St.

EWR to the Marriott

  • Taxi – estimated $50-60 one-way fare

  • Driving – 15 miles
    Driving Directions: Take NJ Tnpk. (N) to Lincoln Tunnel. Follow signs to 42nd St. (N). Take a left onto 8th Ave. and a right on 46th St. Proceed straight to hotel.

Parking at the Marquis

Valet parking $55 car/$65 SUV/Minivan/ $80 Oversize SUV / Height 6ft 2in. Rates are per 24 hrs.

    Getting Around New York City

    • Climate - Average temperatures for New York City in November can range anywhere from 41-53 °F (5-12 °C).
    • Language - English is the official language of the United States.
    • Currency - The official currency is the United States dollar (USD) - use a currency converter.
    • Tipping & Sales Tax - It is customary to tip in the United States.  Please read the following tipping recommendations:
      • Hotel doorman: $1 for hailing a cab
      • Porters and bellhops: $1-2 per bag
      • Maids: $1-2 per day of your visit, or as much as $5 a day
      • Waitstaff and bartenders: 15-20% of total bill
      • Taxi drivers: 15-20% of total fare
      • Bartenders: $1 per drink
      • Sales tax on goods and services is 8.375%
      • No sales tax on food items purchased at grocery stores
      • No city sales tax on clothing or footwear
      • A New York City State tax of 4.375% is charged on clothing and footwear when the total exceeds $110.
